About the Project

Ibex is an outdoor clothing company specializing in creating thoughtfully crafted merino wool clothing to meet the needs of anyone who heads outside for an adventure.  As the principal designer for Intente, I worked with the Ibex team to redesign their existing e-commerce website to communicate their unique story, to simplify and streamline the path to purchase, and to strategize the integration of enhanced shopping features to coincide with a recent platform upgrade.

Home Page Built For Dynamic Customer Experiences

Working closely with the Ibex marketing team, we came up with a home page design built with flexible modular components that could seamlessly integrate with Dynamic Yield’s omnichannel personalization technology, allowing them to increase revenue by automatically individualizing each user interaction. Seasonal promotions, featured products, and geographically driven lifestyle content were all considered and accounted for in the design.

Simple and Effective Navigational Structure

A reenvisioned site architecture and streamlined organization of product categories and lifestyle content led the way to a simple and effective navigation system that offers users clear and distinct paths to both shop and explore the brand.

Robust Product List Pages

The product list page offers a robust filtering experience and a simple, clean interface that enables users to explore product categories and attributes, and to quickly narrow down their results.

Expansive Product Detail Pages

The product page is focused on providing a simple and elegant experience with useful information about the product’s features, wool type and origin, tech specs, recommended activities, frequently asked questions, and reviews. The end goal is to educate and engage the customer in an informative and easy to digest way.  Helpful shopping elements such as size and fit guides, warranty and shipping information, and color swatches were also integrated to guide the consumer along the path to purchase.
